- Nutrition data: Food entries, macros, and daily habits you log
- Preferences: Your dietary goals, eating preferences, and app settings
- Usage data: Basic analytics to improve the app experience
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the Mouthful service
- Generate personalized food suggestions with Macro Magic
- Track your streaks and progress
- Send important account notifications (you can opt out of marketing emails)
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our backend provider, which provides enterprise-grade security and compliance.
We never sell your personal data to third parties. Period.
Voice & AI Processing
When you use voice input to log food:
- Audio is processed in real-time and not stored
- Text transcriptions are used only to identify food items
- AI suggestions are generated based on your logged foods and preferences
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Database and authentication
- OpenAI: Food recognition and Macro Magic suggestions
- Apple/Google: App store services and payments
- Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Export your data at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of marketing communications
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Mouthful is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
